Ashwaq Al Lawati was born and raised in Oman. Her Arab background inspires her writing as she seeks to voice the untold stories of the Middle East. She holds a bachelor’s degree in media studies and an MA in Scriptwriting from the University of East Anglia. Ashwaq has worked in copywriting and PR for different media and marketing agencies and radio stations.
